“The Throne of Grace”
“The Throne of Grace”
Opening illustration
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

“seeing then that we have a GREAT HIGH PRIEST...”
“great” means mega...
So He is the remarkable High Priest.
According to tradition, 18 high priests served in Solomon's Temple (c. 960–586 bc) and 60 in the Second Temple (516 bc–ad 70).
Before we discuss what Jesus actually does as our High Priest, let me just remind you that:
There is nobody like Him.
There is nobody like Him.
The person this book points us to, teaches that died for us, and calls us to chase after is different and unlike anyone else.
There have been many creators in the world, but there is only One Person that earned the title of “Creator of the world.”
There have been plenty of shepherds, but there is only One holds the title of the “Great Shepherd.”
